Seasonal General Assistant

We are looking for Seasonal General Assistants to join our team for the Customer Services Team.  You will be involved with a busy team, helping keep provide our customers with excellent service, keeping the site clean and tidy and working on our tills to serve our customers.  Every day will be different and you will join a friendly and vibrant team at Bristol’s largest Independent Garden Centre.  We have various shifts available to suit.  These roles are short term contract from 1st March to 31st July 2021. This role will require working weekends and Bank Holidays.

Warehouse Operator

Almondsbury are looking for a warehouse operator to join the business this spring. The role involves the organisation, maintenance and running of our busy warehouse.  The successful candidate will have good organisation skills, strong communication skills, be able to work on own and be highly motivated.  They will also have a forklift licence and work in a clean and tidy enviornment. 

This role best suits upbeat and self-motivated individuals who enjoy working systematically and productively. The fast paced and energised environment relies on organisation and efficiency and with so much ground to cover in the line of duty it is important to ensure that you have a moderate level of fitness to enable you to comfortably carry out your tasks.  You will be involved in supporting our customer delivery operation as well as ensuring all products are located correctly. 

Please note that heavy lifting will be required. A forklift licence is desirable.

Landscaping Department Retail Assistant

We’re one of the best-stocked garden centres in the South West and are proud of our reputation for finding the perfect plant or flower for any gardening project. 

We are now looking for a General Assistant to join our dedicated team and assist with the sales of our vast garden centre range.

If you have a real passion for Gardening/Landscaping of all kinds and experience of working in a garden centre, this is a fantastic opportunity to transform your enthusiasm into a flourishing career.  As a Retail Assistant, you will deliver a first-class service and ensure that customers have a great shopping experience with us. You will be involved in our Fantastic Compost Drive-Thru as well as helping to provide customers with advice on which products to use in their garden. 

Your duties will include: 

- Working across the garden centre 
- Operating the till and taking payments 
- Answering customers’ queries 
- Replenishing stock and ensuring customer-facing areas are presented to a high standard 

About You

To join us as a Retail Assistant, you’ll need: 

- Previous retail experience
- A strong work ethic 
- The flexibility to work weekends 
- Good communication skills
